Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery meets technical requirements, quality standards, budget and agreed timelines.
Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, schedule, resources, materials, costs, milestones and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, design, sourcing, fabrication, assembly, software, subcontractors and Field Service Engineering (FSE).
Act as the key project contact for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, delays and cost gaps, and implement corrective or contingency actions promptly.
Track project timelines, resource utilisation and job costing through regular project reviews.
Oversee site installation, commissioning, testing, quality assurance/buy-off and customer acceptance.
Coordinate customer training and ensure smooth project handover upon completion.
Conduct regular progress reviews with FSE and project teams to ensure site activities remain on track.
Maintain accurate project documentation, dashboards, progress indicators and required management reports.
Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned, key observations and improvement opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement in project efficiency, quality, lead time and cost management.
Job Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline; Mechanical / Electrical & Electronic Engineering is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably managing engineering or technical projects.
Experience in industrial automation, semiconductor, manufacturing, intralogistics or warehouse automation will be an advantage.
Able to understand engineering drawings, layouts and technical documentation; exposure to 2D/3D drawings is advantageous.
Strong project planning, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
Good communication and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage for engagement with relevant stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project tracking/reporting tools.
Willing to travel to customer/project sites locally or overseas when required.
